Sample News item 2 - GCSE results
by Admin User - Thursday, 16 September 2004, 11:05 AM

Pupils celebrated their GCSE results today as every pupil gained at least five GCSE grades, and over 30% of all entries were awarded an A* or A grade.  Overall, 78.5% of pupils gained at least five A*-C grades.

This is the online course delivery system of the Netpoint Project, which serves two purposes:
Firstly it is the repository of our technical and professional development courses... Also it is a demonstration of the software in action - we provide custom installation and hosting for schools and other educators.

If you would like to give this software a 'test-drive' yourself, please email: info@netpointproject.net and we will set up a test course (only accessible to you) that you can use to try out the wide range of features available. You will also be automatically subscribed to "eCourseware QuickStart Guide", which is an online interactive course that walks you through the stages of delivering an interactive course online(?!).

This collaborative international Open Source project gives a framework in which teachers can easily supply course materials, instructions and homework via the internet.

The interface is intuitive and extremely easy to learn - most people can easily use it within a couple of hours - after which the time and resource savings mount up very quickly.

Who's going to use it? An installation (like this one) might serve a single secondary school, with all courses for all students in all year groups. A primary school might use it as their main school website (in 'News' format), or a group of primary schools could club together and pool teaching resources.
